BEAUTY: The Bathory 'Bask' Bath Soak- A Perfect Nights Sleep In A Jar?

The Bathory is a new brand that is being talked about a lot at the moment in the beauty blogging world and offers something slightly different; tailor made bath salts and I really do love the idea. You simply go onto their website, choose out of three different salt mixes, all with different purposes and then add three organic essential oils that either suit the salts purpose or are just what you fancy.
Your order is then mixed up here in the UK and sent to your door...easy peasy!
I am a bit of an insomniac (not helped by the fact that I have M.E/CFS) so I chose the 'Bask' blend which is a blend of Epsom Salts, Himalayan Pink Salts and Dead Sea Salts, all designed to help you relax, detoxify and get a good nights sleep. To compliment the 'Bask' blend, I chose three equally relaxing and heady essential oils; Chamomile, Lavender and Frankincense.

The salts really are divine, they are very finely milled so they dissolve easily in the bath and the aroma is incredible! As soon as I opened the pot the smell just hit me and instantly transported me to a much more relaxed state and definitely gave me an incredible bath experience. The bath was lovely, incredibly relaxing and I went to bed as soon as I got out but unfortunately I have to say that it didn't help me sleep at all, despite feeling very relaxed. I don't however think that this is a true representation of their properties because as I said, I am a bit of an insomniac, so if you're a relatively 'normal' sleeper then these will probably send you off into a peaceful slumber beautifully.
In terms of price, I think it's a little steep at around £18.00 for a 200g jar (I used half of the jar just in one bath!), it is however on the same par as the Therapie Himalayan Detox Salts which are a very similar product but without the 'customise' option and they are £37.00 for 400g. If you are willing to spend that on a bathing product and want a really relaxing experience then I would definitely recommend them because despite not getting the outcome I wanted in terms of sleep, it was still a bloody nice bath!
You can create your own custom blend here for around £18.00.
