ME/CFS: Feeling Trapped

Anyone who has ME/CFS knows how, well how shit it is really, living with this incredibly debilitating and frustrating illness. Despite this, I don’t want every ME post on this blog to be really negative and just an outlet for me to moan because I don’t think that does anyone much good. Don’t get me wrong, having a good old moan now and then to let everything out

BEAUTY: SensatioNail Polish To Gel Transformer

Since I started doing my own gel nails at home with an LED lamp, I've really neglected all of my 'normal' nail polishes because they just don't have the staying power. I seem to always gets chips within a few hours compared to when I use an LED lamp which in comparison gives me a week of chip free nails, they're supposed to last about two weeks but even if I have them done professionally

BEAUTY: The New Charlotte Tilbury Palette Of Dreams

I better start by saying that I am already a huge fan of the Charlotte Tilbury line. I own a decent number of her products and I can honestly say that I haven't found one yet that I haven't liked, although I have deliberately stayed clear of her infamous Magic Cream as I just don't think it would get on with my oily skin. Anyway, it's no surprise that I was very eagerly awaiting the arrival of her

BEAUTY: The Cream That Has Saved My Hands

For the past couple of years, especially during the colder months, the skin on my hands has betrayed my mere twenty eight years on this planet and instead resemble that of someone much older, the image of a desiccating Egyptian mummy comes to mind. They really have become a constant problem with their scale like consistency and brittle dryness causing them to be constantly sore to the

ME/CFS: Living with M.E./CFS

I love sharing my thoughts with you on beauty and fashion but a massive, and rather overwhelming, part of my life is living with an illness called Myalgic Encephalomyelitis which is more commonly known as M.E. or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS). I often feel uncomfortable telling people that I have M.E. because it's an illness which people often have a lot of misconceptions about due to the

BEAUTY: My Evening Skincare Routine

As promised, it's time to talk you through my evening skincare routine and like with my morning routine, I'm so happy with it at the moment. So we start with cleaning and this differs depending on whether I'm wearing makeup or not. If I am wearing makeup then I'll use The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil and massage it all over my face, neck and eyes before wetting my hands, giving

FOOD: The Green Life

Let me start off by saying that I am unashamedly a huge believer in the greatness of green juice. It may look like swamp water and quite frankly it does sometimes taste like swamp water, or rather what I imagine swamp water to taste like as funnily enough I've never tasted it myself, but this glass

BEAUTY: My Current Morning Skincare Routine

My skincare routine has changed quite a bit over the years as I've progressed through my twenties and as my knowledge on the subject has developed but I can now confidently say that I have never been happier with my current routine. I'm going to talk you through everything in the above picture

BEAUTY: Shades Of Summer

When it comes to nail varnish, my go to shades generally switch between nudes and dark reds, I sometimes throw on a few other colours and the odd glitter top coat but they are the shades I stay pretty loyal to. When summer rolls around however, I do like to change it up a bit and add in a few

FOOD: My Favourite Healthy Cookbooks

I've always had a passion for cooking and an interest in nutrition, even if I didn't always follow the good advice, but over the past nine months or so I've really been focused on eating healthily and 'cleanly'. Like I said, I've always been interested in nutrition but it was my quest to try and overcome

BEAUTY: Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess, Summer In A Bottle

I've been in a bit of a perfume rut lately as I haven't brought a new perfume in quite some time and I'm just a bit bored of rotating my small collection. I don't tend to have any lighter, summery type scents and normally switch between the original Stella McCartney perfume and Dolce & Gabbana: Rose The One which are both beautiful but I've been wearing them for so long and they just don't

BEAUTY: Gingerly Beauty Box Silk Pillowcase

This pillowcase is getting a lot of attention in the beauty world at the moment and, as I have a serious  penchant for luxury bed linen, it really didn't take me very long to cave. As an insomniac it's very important for me to be as comfortable as I can in bed and as a beauty enthusiast the promise of better skin and shinier hair from just sleeping on a silk pillowcase is a very attractive one.

BEAUTY: First Aid Beauty Facial Radiance Pads

I used to use normal manual exfoliators all the time until I discovered that they aren't actually too good for your skin and can actually do more harm than good, especially on sensitive acne prone skin like mine, so now I am loyal to chemical exfoliation.

BEAUTY: The Bathory 'Bask' Bath Soak- A Perfect Nights Sleep In A Jar?

The Bathory is a new brand that is being talked about a lot at the moment in the beauty blogging world and offers something slightly different; tailor made bath salts and I really do love the idea. You simply go onto their website, choose out of three different salt mixes, all with different purposes and then add three organic essential oils that either suit the salts purpose or are just what you fancy.

BEAUTY: Korres Mandarin Lip Butter Stick, The Best Lip Balm Ever?

When it comes to lip balms, I'm not too fussed to be honest. As long as it's moisturising, not too sticky and doesn't smell offensive then I'm happy...oh and I tend to prefer it in stick form purely for the fact that I often end up rubbing the residue from pot balms on my jeans or something so I don't have a sticky finger (yeah I know, that's a little gross but don't pretend you don't do the same!).

BEAUTY: Caudalie Make-up Remover Cleansing Water

When I ran out of my bottle of Bioderma a few months ago I decided to to try a different micellar water for a change just to shake things up (I know, how crazy am I!). I've always loved Caudalie as a skincare brand and had heard some good things about their version so

Soap & Glory 'Smoothie Star - Deep Moisture Body Milk

Well without any hesitation I'm going to boldly pronounce that this is my favourite body moisturiser...ever! I have to say I'm not too fussy when it comes to the consistency of a body moisturiser, as long as it's not too thin and runny but this is probably the perfect consistency.

Yankee Candle 'Fireside Treats'...heavenly!

I could basically sum up my thoughts on this candle in just one word, AMAZING. However in the interest of actually successfully reviewing this candle for you and giving you a bit more information about it I will therefore elaborate.
